On 20 May 2024, the NSW Government committed to rebuild Willyama High School. The Department of Education is conducting a consultation process collecting the aspirations of staff, students, parents/carers, community and all stakeholders for future secondary educational provision in Broken Hill.
During the next two weeks you are invited to participate and have your ideas and feedback included in the consultation process by:
1. Participating in the consultation forums (see link below) or
2. Emailing COR0233R3886.Consultation@det.nsw.edu.au to request additional interview time or phone call (please include a contact number) or
3. Emailing COR0233R3886.Consultation@det.nsw.edu.au with your thoughts and opinions. Please indicate if you participate as a staff, student, parents/carers, community or other stakeholder.
You may wish to use the following questions as a guide:
1. What more could we offer Broken Hill youth in their educational journey?
2. What is the best thing about secondary education in Broken Hill? What would make our high schools even better?
3. What professions and opportunities are available to young adults of Broken Hill – How can education support this?
Responses will close on Monday 13 May 2024.
