We are excited to inform you that our school has received funding to participate in a two-day workshop focused on renewable energy, specifically Solar, Wind, and Micro Hydro technologies. During this workshop, students will gain hands-on experience and knowledge about how these clean energy sources operate and their role in powering homes, schools, and businesses sustainably. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a TAFE Statement in Renewables Awareness. This workshop provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in renewable energy. They will learn about various roles in the industry, such as working with solar panels, wind turbines, and small water-powered systems. With the upcoming construction of Hydrostor’s compressed air energy storage system in our town, students will gain relevant insights and skills that will enhance their resumes and career prospects in this growing field. Transport: Students will make their own way to and from the venue Dress code: Students are asked to wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants. Boots are preferred. If you do not have boots, please wear enclosed shoes. Food: Students must provide their own food as there will be no opportunities to purchase food. Parents & Carers of interested students have been sent consent information for this program via School Bytes.
