Willyama High School invites your child to compete in a number of external competitions held throughout the year. To participate is a stimulating and rewarding experience. The competitions provide a rare opportunity for country students to compete against their city peers on a national basis. Students will all receive certificates for their participation, as well as merit awards for outstanding performance; these are valuable components of a student’s résumé. Each competition will cost only $4.00 to enter which represents a significant subsidy, given regular competition prices range from $6.00 - $18.70. This is being heavily subsidised by the school to encourage student participation and make it more affordable for students to enter multiple competitions if they wish. Students should pay their entry fees by Monday 21 February and indicate the competitions they wish to enter on the entry form and return to the front office. Involvement in these competitions provides great educational opportunities for your child. Please encourage their participation, particularly if they have a talent in one or more of the competition areas. If you are interested in enrolling your child in one or more of these competitions, forms are available from the Maths staff room or printable from the attachment.
Starting at 6pm
