TAFE Start Your Future in Early Childhood, Education and Care

Willyama students with interest in further studies and a potential career in the Early Childhood, Education and Care industry will be participating in taster lessons at the Broken Hill TAFE Campus.

This program, part of the NSW Government's TAFE NSW Start Your Future initiative, will run every Thursday during Term 3, from July 31 to September 18. It offers students a chance to explore Vocational Education and Training (VET) and develop important skills for their future careers.

Learners will develop skills and knowledge in:

• Applying work health and safety practices to ensure safe spaces for children
• Building confidence in interacting with children, families, educators
• Providing creative learning experiences appropriate for children's ages and development
• Promoting positive interactions by joining in children's play
• Understanding the role of Early Childhood Educators in making positive contributions to children's learning and development
• Promoting good nutrition and positive meal experiences
• Promoting cultural competence

- Students will make their own way to and from the venue

- Students must bring their own food as their will be no opportunities to purchase food.
