Science and Engineering Challenge

The Outback Science and Engineering Challenge (SEC) is a nationwide STEM outreach program. Through this program, students experience aspects of science and engineering that they would not usually see in their school environment.

Venue:

Cobar High School (Wetherell Crescent
Cobar NSW 2835)

Overnight Location:

Cobar High School or the Cobar Recreation Centre (TBA)

Transport:

Students will travel to and from the venue via chartered bus.
This bus will be shared with students from BHHS.

DEPART: Wednesday 28 May, from Broken Hill High School front gate Garnet Street entrance at 10.10 am.

RETURN: Thursday 29 May, at Broken Hill High School front gate Garnet Street entrance at approximately 8.00 pm.

Dress Code:

Full school uniform and closed in shoes for competition
Comfortable clothes for travel

Food:

Please bring recess, snacks and lunch for Wednesday 28 May, some spending money will be required for any incidentals
Dinner will be provided, please indicate in the additional comments on the permission note if your child has any dietary requirements
Please bring water bottle.

Please Bring:

Warm clothing. Rain gear/ Wet weather gear (if required). Suncream. A change of clothes. Medication (if required). Shower footwear (Thongs etc) Pillow Sleeping Bag Any toiletries required. Towel

Additional Information:

Students must NOT bring expensive items as the school takes no responsibility for any potential theft or loss.
