Extension to stay-at-home rules for regional NSW

As you will be aware the stay-at-home rules have again been extended for regional NSW until at least 11:59 pm 10 September. This replaces any existing orders in regional NSW and as a result home learning will continue throughout this time. So, if you are working from home, and your child can be educated from home, please keep them at home.

We will continue to have minimal supervision on site for students of essential workers, with online learning continuing via Teams - normal timetabled lessons.

Further developments announced today (27 August) include:

  • In the event stay-at-home rules are lifted in regional NSW before the end of Term 3 (or 25 October), schools in those areas can expect to return to face-to-face teaching and learning at Level 3.

Otherwise:

  • From 25 October, HSC students will have full-time access to school campuses and their teachers. HSC exams will be delayed until 9 November with a revised timetable and guidelines for a COVID-safe HSC to be released by NESA in early September.

  • From Monday 1 November, students in Year 11 will return to school sites under Level 3 plus settings.

  • From Monday 8 November, students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 return to school sites under Level 3 plus settings.

If face to face learning returns on Monday 13 September, the following arrangements have been made for our students.

  • Year 12 Students – will recommence trial examinations as per the exam timetable dated Monday, 16 August 2021 through to Friday, 20 August.

  • Year 11 Students – depending on the subject some exams may be held towards the end of the week, but could also extend into Term 4, Weeks 1 and 2. A confirmed schedule will be advised soon.

  • Year 7 – 10 – All assessment tasks will be rescheduled to Term4.
