Indigenous Reading Project

The Indigenous Reading Project works to improve the reading ability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. They target kids who are behind their peers and want to improve their reading skills. They loan students a tablet and give them access to their cloud library. They monitor their progress over time and if they significantly improve in their reading ability they get to keep the tablet.

ATSI students are getting the opportunity to participate in the Indigenous Reading Project this year. Applications to be a part of this program are now open and ATSI students from years 3-10 are able to apply. More information about this program can be found at https://www.irp.org.au/faq.html
