ANZAC Day March As we approach ANZAC Day, we would like to invite students in Year 7 to 12 to participate in the ANZAC Day March in Broken Hill. Date: Thursday 25th of April Meeting Time: 10:15 AM Meeting Point: Hungry Jacks- look for your teachers and other students in Willyama School Uniform March Commencement: 10:40 AM This is a chance for us, as a school community, to come together and pay our respects to the brave men and women who have served our nation. It's an opportunity to honour their sacrifices and show our gratitude for their service. Please wear full school uniform. Let's join together in solidarity to commemorate ANZAC Day and to show our appreciation for those who have served our country. Thank you, SRC

First Day of Term 2, 2024 A reminder that all Willyama High School students will be moving to the Broken Hill High School site from the start of Term 2. The first day for students is Tuesday 30 April (see outline below). There is a school development day planned for Monday 29 April. Students do not attend school on this day. Tuesday 30 April: 8:30-9:00am - Students enter through Willyama High School main entrances via Kaolin Street (near hall) and Wolfram Street (near corner of Kaolin and Wolfram Streets). Students will be guided by Willyama staff to appropriate playground areas. 9:00-9:20am - Whole school assembly – sport courts (Wolfram Street side) 9:20-10:00am - Year meetings (venues TBA) – distribute new timetables, information and questions 10:00-10:13am - Roll call/7-10 collect devices (roll call rooms) 10:13am onwards – normal lessons 1:02-1:42pm – Barbeque lunch provided 2:30pm – Roll call/7-10 return devices (roll call rooms) 2:35pm – End of school day for students A welcome pack has been put together by School Infrastructure for the commencement of Term 2. Biology Field Trip Compulsory Biology Excursion – Calperum Station When : Tuesday April 30 Depart Broken Hill High School 7.00am for departure at 7.30am Friday 3 May Arrive at Broken Hill High School 4.00pm Where : Calperum Station – 10 kilometres north of Renmark Transport : Two Minibuses driven by Teachers Cost : $200 – Due by Monday 1 April **The trip is being subsidised by grants and fundraising of chocolate boxes** Additional : All meals and snacks will be provided whilst at the camp. Students will need to provide own drinks and snacks for the bus trip or bring money to purchase on the way. Teachers : Miss Emma Camilleri and Miss Chloe Ralph A booklet contained the full itinerary will be provided once finalised by Calperum Station.
